KasiWorks
Local people, ready to work.
KasiWorks connects unemployed people in townships with employers who need them, and connects employers with reliable local people. It is for anyone in the township who wants to work: skilled tradespeople, experienced workers and young people looking for a first job.
Why now
The people are in the township. The work is not.
Township unemployment is high, and many people with real skills and experience have no CV, no references on paper and no way in. Young people leaving school often have no one to open the first door. At the same time, employers are looking for reliable South African workers and do not know where to find them.
KasiWorks works across all kinds of work, including building and trades, cleaning and maintenance, retail and hospitality, driving and deliveries, care work, admin and general labour, and grows as employers and communities tell us what is needed.
How it works
01
Find
Sakhisizwe's liaison officers and champions meet people looking for work in their communities, who join the register with their consent.
02
Prepare
We help each person draft a CV, record their skills and experience, and do basic checks such as ID and a reference.
03
Match
Employers tell us what they need and where. We introduce suitable people, and the employer appoints them directly.
04
Follow up
Feedback after every placement builds a track record, so each person has something to show the next employer.
Job seekers never pay a fee. Pay is agreed upfront and is at least the national minimum wage. Details are shared only with the person's consent.
